DR. KARLA DURAN | Immediate Past Chair

Dr. Karla Duran is an educator, professor and servant leader in San Antonio for over 23 years. She was raised in North Texas and moved to San Antonio to attend college. 

She is a first-generation immigrant, bilingual educator, Latina with a Ph.D., and a National Diversity Council Certified Diversity Professional. Dr. Duran reflects on the intersectionality of being proud to be a Mexicana & Americana which combines the values that her “abuelitos” have taught her that guide her work. 

She will continue their legacy of empowering others and sharing her story in order to connect with others through mutually shared experiences. Juntas Podemos Mas!
